1. Measure and Cut the Flooring

2. Notch the Plank

To fit the plank around the jamb, you'll need to create a notch. Measure the thickness of the jamb and the height from the bottom of the jamb to where the flooring will end. Transfer these measurements to the plank and cut a notch using a jigsaw or oscillating tool.

3. Pre-Drill Pilot Holes

Drilling pilot holes through the jamb around the notch will prevent the jamb from splitting when you drive in the nails.

4. Secure the Plank
