Flatness and Leveling

Expansion Gap

All flooring expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity. Therefore, it is crucial to leave an expansion gap around the perimeter of the room to prevent buckling or warping. Use spacers to maintain a consistent gap of about 1/4 inch.
