How to Master the Art of Nailing Down 3/8 Bamboo Flooring

1. Subfloor Preparation:

3. Nails and Nail Gun:

4. Starting Row Installation:

Begin by installing a spacer along the wall to maintain a consistent expansion gap. Place the first plank against the spacer and nail it down approximately 3 inches from the end. Continue nailing down the plank every 6-8 inches, staggering the nails to prevent splitting.

5. Subsequent Row Installation:

Align the tongue of the next plank with the groove of the previous plank and tap it into place using a tapping block. Secure the plank with nails, starting from the center and working your way outward. Stagger the nails as before.

6. Final Row Installation:

The final row may require trimming to fit the available space. Measure the gap and cut the plank accordingly. Use a hand saw or a miter saw for precise cuts.

7. Nailing Patterns:

8. Expansion Gaps:
