These types of vinyl flooring are generally easier to repair than solid vinyl, as the layers can be separated and manipulated.

Repairing Dents in Vinyl Flooring

There are several approaches to fixing dents in vinyl flooring, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The best method for your specific situation depends on the severity of the dent, the type of vinyl flooring, and your available resources.

1. Heat Treatment

Once removed, measure the dimensions of the damaged tile and cut a new tile from a spare piece of flooring or a replacement tile. Apply adhesive to the back of the new tile and carefully place it in the gap created by the removed tile. Press the new tile firmly into place and allow the adhesive to dry completely before walking on the area.
