Fixing Dents In Vinyl Flooring: A Step-by-Step Guide

Vinyl flooring is a popular choice for its durability, affordability, and ease of maintenance. However, it is not immune to damage, and one of the most common issues is dents. Dents can occur from furniture, heavy objects, or even high heels. While dents can be unsightly, they can also be fixed with a few simple steps.

Step 1: Determine the Type of Dent

There are two main types of dents in vinyl flooring: surface dents and deep dents. Surface dents are shallow and do not penetrate the entire thickness of the flooring. Deep dents are more severe and can extend all the way through the flooring.

Step 2: Gather Your Materials

You will need the following materials to fix a dent in vinyl flooring:

Heat gun or hair dryer
Weight
Damp cloth

Step 3: Heat the Dent

Step 4: Apply Weight
